Sports Nutrition

Sports nutrition is the foundation of athletic success. A well-designed nutrition plan allows athletes to perform their best. Hart Health works with athletes and sports professionals to develop dietary plans to optimize athletic performance. Sports nutrition plans vary, depending on activity level and specific energy demands. Sports nutrition is also unique to each person and planned according to individual goals.

Eating Well + Performance

If a team consumes adequate amounts of micro and macronutrients, they play well together. Consistency, support, and accountability lead to success.

On the flip side, poor nutrition leads to:

  • Slower recovery

  • Weaker immune systems

  • Poor performance

  • Lower energy

  • Lack of focus

  • Delay in muscle repair

Young athletes are often under-fueled, which limits their full potential. This contributes to insufficient muscle growth, limited strength, poor sleeping habits, slower recovery, and lack of energy.

Benefits

Nutrition is a key component to achieving desired body composition. Proper nutrition leads to increased energy levels, a stronger immune system, greater physical strength, and faster recovery.

A body that is adequately fueled can reach its potential safely and sustainably. Proper nutrition is the cornerstone to unlocking peak athletic performance.

The Program

Overview

Eating for goals is what sports nutrition is all about. It can help enhance athletic performance, improve recovery, and make reaching your goals possible.

What’s Included

The sports nutrition consultation includes a nutrition assessment and diet recall. Together, we will determine your nutrition, health, and performance goals. You will learn to eat like an athlete through pre-training, game day, and recovery meal planning. You will also receive detailed instructions on how and when to eat to fuel your body properly.

Maintenance & Follow-Up

Virtual consultations are available upon request—consisting of weekly check-ins for the program's first month. This benefits those who desire more support and accountability while adjusting to the nutrition plan.
